What is WorldPharmSciCareers?

WorldPharmSci Careers is a partnership between the leading societies serving the pharmaceutical sciences and related fields. The goal is to provide scientists and others working in related disciplines access to the most comprehensive employment resources on the Internet.

By joining together, the partners in the network enable marketing beyond the individual society markets to previously unavailable to employers via the "networking" of employment ads. The end result is that the community has much broader access to employment opportunities and hiring companies have access to a greater pool of candidates. The network concept goes far beyond online job boards. The network partners are scheduling collaborative hiring events hosted throughout the coming year at a variety of locations. These career fairs will be held in conjunction with one of the partner's major meetings.

WorldPharmSci Careers is an extension of WorldPharmSci, a partnership among the leading societies in pharmaceutical sciences and related fields formed to provide a comprehensive employment solution. Careers provides job seekers with valuable resources and tools that will assist them at every step of their career path. Careers also offers employers valuable information on the potential candidate pool and a means of broadening their visibility to this group. Publication dates coincide with seasonal clusters of the nearly dozen annual career fair events. Careers provides editorial content that informs, inspires, and educates readers to actively take charge of their careers. Feature articles cover topics such as understanding the steps of strategic job searching, tips for success when working at both large and small companies, the importance of continuing education, and developing an effective resumé. Regular departments offer advice on developing critical job skills, making the best career match, current news, company profiles, and more.

What if I'm not a member of any of the participating societies?

All job boards allow you to view job advertisements. However, to receive the greatest benefit to your professional development we encourage you to find the society or association that best fits your profession and/or area of expertise. The members benefits are numerous, going beyond just employment opportunities, access to training education, industry journals, conferences, etc.

I'm an employer. How do I get the benefit of the network?

You can simply go to any of the participating partners' career Web sites. Choose the one whose demographics most closely match your needs and place your primary advertisement there. When you complete your ad, you will be able to review the member demographic profile of the other partners and make a decision to "up-sell" to those partners' job boards based on what you believe helps you best attain your hiring goals. Costs for distributing the ad into the network are incremental and explained in full on each of the partners' sites.
